Friends

I've been going to a meeting,
The second Wednesday of each month,
Too meet a group of people,
They're such a friendly bunch,
We meet in St Martins Hall,
You'll find it next to Stan's,
Where help is provided,
And each month is (kind of) planned,
It's all about PARKINSONS,
And what we can do,
To make our lives more bearable,
Our carers can come too.

The clubs called Friends of Parkies,
Run by a voluntary commitee,
Helping us to help ourselves,
Much better than self pity,
They've made my life much better,
Their friendship means a lot,
Long may this group continue,
Its cameradary hits the spot,
FRIENDS of PARKIES forever,
Is what I want to say,
Being with you makes me smile,
And brightens up my day.
