Friends of Parkies is a charity based on the border of North Shropshire and South Clwyd which offers support for those diagnosed with Parkinsons, their carers and families. We meet socially every month to share information and to help/support one another. We offer support for people recently diagnosed with Parkinsons who don't know where to turn for help, support and information. The group has a diverse range of people of all ages so don't think you are too young or too old - everybody is welcome. 

We have guest speakers at our social meetings who offer help and advice accessing Parkinsons support. We also arrange social outings which have included in the past a canal cruise and a visit to Keele University to see the research work being undertaken to treat Parkinsons.
